On December 18 we took a day trip to Salt Lake City for two special events. The roads going down were horrible and we about turned back, but we pressed on. We went to Amy and Ryan's house first for the Mortimer family Christmas party. We had lunch and the kids opened their gifts from each other. It's great to spend time with family.

| Rachel made Jason a new farm blanket. He loves it. |

Abby loved her littlest pet shops.
Of course the party ended with the usual brawl. It was Jared that got dogpiled, not Tom this time. |
It was the weekend of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir concert. Unfortunately, we didn't get tickets this year but our good friend Sharon had two extra tickets and offered them to us. Since the guest artist was David Archeleta, and we had been telling Abby she could go when she turned 8, Abby and I went to the concert while the rest of the family stayed at Amy's. Abby loved looking around the concert center. The concert was great and Abby said she liked the dancers best. Thanks Sharon! We owe you!

| I don't know how to flip pictures yet, but Abby loved the huge trees in the conference center. |

Tom met us downtown to drive us home. The roads were much better. Jason fell asleep quickly. I thought this picture was so cute, he's holding Erin's gift, the rooster, and wrapped in his new blanket.
It was a great day. |
